Organic or Over-priced?

February 18, 2015

I  was always under the belief that organic meant that it was natural and untainted by the hands of manufactures and man, that it meant it was in its raw natural form not manipulated, and in the case of organic food that it had come straight from the soil, the tree and straight from mother nature and in the form that mother nature intended it to be.

So when did it become the norm to over price organic foods, to make something that had come straight from the land unattainable, today i saw Australian garlic which was a beautiful large bulb, purple in colour and fresh as it could be for $12 a kilo and on the other hand you see so call ‘organic’ garlic in its natural form at $46 a kilo which breaks down to $7 per 150g – go figure!!!!!!
